What is Breathwork?
& WHY IS IT SO POWERFUL?

Breathwork is a magic that we can use to empower ourselves from the inside out by doing just that. Join us and make magic happen with the alchemical support of the Full Moon in Leo!
When you are consciously using your breath, it is considered breathwork. There are many different styles with their own benefits. Anytime we consciously connect with our breath, it connects us back to our spirit, our essence, and consistent practice can support us in remembering who we really are and what work we are meant to do in this lifetime.
In this workshop I will be teaching Conscious Connected Breathwork. It is an active meditation technique that uses circular open mouth breathing to purge the body and nervous system of emotional debris. It is a self-healing modality that helps to facilitate detachment from the mind and thoughts and a deeper connection to the heart. In a group experience it is possible to bear witness to the similarities of human expression, thus providing our subconscious mind evidence that we are never truly alone in what we feel.
THIS WORKSHOP:
A safe, loving container to discover the Truth that resides within the body. Each workshop is a uniquely co-created experience based on those who show up. The quality and type of experience is unique to each person. No prior experience is required to join. Group Breathwork is a way to build community, a powerful integration tool, and is ultimately a sacred experience with your own breath and body.
We will open the circle with an embodiment practice, intention setting, and learning the breathwork pattern. Then everyone will lay down and begin the active breathwork practice. Fully guided by music, voice, and intuitive touch - upon consent. Working gently with any emotions, limiting beliefs and old stories that arise to be seen, felt and transformed. This alchemical process often gives voice to parts of the Self that have been left behind or unheard and allows for a gentle release of tension and emotional blocks in the body. Upon completion of the breathwork journey we will end with a Full Moon Ceremony and group sharing before closing the circle.

Desire to get weird and make noise
If you want a pillow under your head, I recommend bringing a thin one as we want the airway to be open. Most people breathe without one just fine.
Itβs recommended not to eat about 2 hours before if possible - itβs totally fine if you need to eat something light. Just know breathing with a full stomach can be a bit uncomfortable!

We can't predict what may arise, and it's important to release expectations, but I can assure you that your body will only provide you the experience that you are ready for.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Breathwork is a completely safe and natural tool that compliments any other healing modalities you may be practicing. Please note that this practice is not a substitute for therapy or medical advice.
If you experience any of the following, please consult your GP or healthcare provider first:
Epilepsy
Heart conditions or arrhythmia
High or low blood pressure with fainting history
Delicate pregnancy
Bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia or psychosis
Untreated/severe PTSD
Pre-existing lung disease
Recent major surgery
It will still be possible to breathe with us, and in these cases I recommend breathing in and out through the nose instead of the open mouth.
